Guitar Hero

We bought this game yesterday and I must say it's a lot of fun! I have problems with my wrists so they are hurting badly now, though. But what the heck... a little pain will not kill you... *lol*.  DD is playing too but it's a bit hard for her. Sometimes it gets too fast and she gets discouraged when she misses notes.

I'm playing the easy mode... 3 buttons are more than enough at the moment. I don't want to think about when the time comes to use the other two buttons as well. There are not enough fingers for that!

One thing I don't like is the combat thing when you're playing career. I suck at that... and I can't move on until I get it right. I want new songs to play but I need to win over that stupid guy. Very irritating! Well, I guess I just need to stick to it and practise a lot... which isn't my strongest side. Who quited playing instruments just because of boring practise? *hmmm*

Has this week gone already?

I can hardly believe that yet another week has pass by? Where does time go? I guess it feels like time flies away when life is hectic... and mine has been for quite some time now. Next week will be a summer's breeze in comparison thanks to Eid el Fitr, the Muslim holiday that ends Ramadan. There won't be many kids at school.

I'm off to bed to catch some Zzzzz. Hopefully there won't be any sheep to count tonight...

Early bed

I got 3 hours of sleep last night thanks to the car incident (see below) and now I have a hard time keeping my eyes open. I should been creative... lots of new stuff coming at Tangie Baxter store... but my brain need its rest. So, I'm off to bed 8.30 in the evening. I bet I'm sleeping before DD does.

I knew it!

I knew there was a reason for me being nervous about having our caravan parked downstairs in the parking lot. At 2 in the morning DH and I woke up by a strange noise. DH ran out (he thought it was some youngsters making things they shouldn't) and saw a lot of smoke and the firefighters. His first thought was - MY MC! When he saw all the smoke and firefighters he thought - THE CARAVAN! We were lucky though... no harm on our cars, dh's MC or the caravan. Someone had "just" put some poor guy's car on fire.

No way I could get back to sleep, so here I sit... waiting for my alarm clock to go off in two hours or so. This will be a looooooong day!

Summer is officially over

DH took the caravan home today and hopefully we'll be able to put it in winter storage sometimes this week. At the moment it's parked in our parking space and THAT makes me nervous. It's much better to have it in a barn way away in the countryside.

With the caravan home means summer's officially over for this time. I will miss the sea and the restfulness. The only thing I'm not going to miss is the bad weather. It has been another lousy summer this year... and sitting in a caravan when it's pouring cats and dogs is not very fun!

My stress is a bit better, but my scrap mojo is gone. Maybe it will show up again now when I have a lot of time again to play with PSP.

Fall is here

Teperature has droped and it is really cold.

I saw this yestesday at work - the first tree for me this fall with really red leaves.

Summer is over

It is time to pack and take the caravan home for the winter. Feeling a bit sad that summer is over.

Wednesday freebie

I've made an alpha and I want to share it with you. It's handmade in 300 dpi, but it's kind of small. I don't recommend you to upsize it. If you download, don't forget to leave me some love.

Welcome to the countryside

If you live with a geocaching nerd this is something you will see often when you are out driving.

New hybrid fun

I've always thought I wasn't patient enough for crafting. In school I hated making things for Christmas and Easter... I hated using scissors and glue. Now I might have to reconsider. Now I do like making hybrid projects (even though I have some issues with glue).

Some days ago I found a tutorial at the Digichick how to alter a plain, boring notebook and I new I had to try it. I've used Miss Mint's Foxy lady elements and Party Pants background paper for this one.

The only thing I wasn't pleased with was the holes for the binding. They didn't turn out very well. I think I need to invest in a device to make holes, a puncher (?). DD is going to a slumber party next week and I think the hostess will get a notebook like this but a bit bigger and a can filled with cute erasers. But we'll see. It all depends on how I feel... these projects are supposed to be fun, not another stress factor.

Not in the best of shapes

Insomnia
Chest pains
Double heart beats

No, I'm not having a heart attack. I'm just stressed out and close to a burn out.

I need to take it easy, stay away from the TV and computer and not drinking coffee. The TV and coffee thing is fairly easy but not using the computer will be a tough one. How to digiscrap if you're not allowed to use the computer? Since I almost glued myself to the tin with superglue when I tried the paper and glue scrapping it's pretty obvious that THAT isn't the creative way for me to express myself.

This condition isn't new to me. All of this normally shows up every fall - when school starts (and even more if I have new kids) and when it gets darker outside. My body isn't constructed for stress and darkness and those two in combination are really, really bad. I know this will past - it always do, sooner or later. I only hope that it will be sooner. I hate feeling like this...

Wednesday morning

This is what my desk at work looks like when half the week has gone. I never have time to sit down and get organized...

I'm in love!

And this is my new love...

I didn't really need a new one but dd wanted my old one, so why not...? Found this beauty and fell in love. After exploring it I'm even deeper in love. The coolest thing is that I can update this blog from my phone... which means that I probably will update it more often in the future. By the way... it's a Sony Ericsson W351i.

Molly DeCrow, one of the designers from Tangie Baxter Designs, has left the store and moved to{we} are storytellers. I think it's sad to see her leave the store but it's cool that I still will be able to scrap with her designs. She has a new kit up at {we} are storytellers  called "4th hour: music". Go and check it out...
